Graylie Events specializes in wedding and event planning for the eco-conscious client. We believe thoughtful planning and creative strategies can bring beautiful visions to life while also being kind to our planet. We support all kinds of events including baby showers, birthday parties, anniversaries, corporate events and weddings. If you have an idea for a party, we’re down to help make it a reality!

2. Why should I hire a wedding or event planner?

You could choose to plan your own wedding or private party, many people do. But ask yourself: Do you have the time? What is your time worth? Will you enjoy the party if you are running around handling logistics? Do you have the skills and know-how to bring your vision to life?

3. How much does a wedding planner typically cost?

In the Greater Seattle area, a wedding planner that is with you throughout the planning process will typically cost $3000-$8,000. It will depend on a number of factors including how large of a wedding you are having, total number of vendors, are they planning the full wedding or just supporting you and the planner’s level of expertise. A day-of / week-of coordinator will run between $900-$3000.

4. How much does a private party planner typically cost?

For parties like children’s birthday parties, baby showers, and anniversaries, a party coordinator will typically charge by the hour. Custom quotes are generated based on the client’s vision and priorities. For example, if you are looking for someone to pull a few vendors together and create some basic decor, prices will start around $500.

5. Can an eco-friendly wedding or event be stylish and affordable?

Absolutely! When people hear eco-friendly, many think “grungy, reused things” or “way too expensive”. When done the right way, an eco-friendly event can be stylish, modern, and affordable. It takes creative thinking, experience in the industry, and expert knowledge from folks that have done this time and again.

6. Do I have to incorporate eco-friendly strategies?

We understand that everyone is on their own, unique sustainability journey, so we’ll work closely with you to understand your priorities. From there, we’ll tailor our recommendations and tips based on your vision, personality, and priorities. We promise no judgment if your event isn’t zero-waste!
