Meet Erica

Hi! I'm Erica, mother of 3, coffee lover, chocoholic, all around optimistic gal, and owner of Graylie Events!

Some fun facts about me - I really enjoy traveling (especially internationally), I used to be an engineer building rocket engines, and I have a soft spot for the environment and my community.

I enjoy partnering with people from all walks of life to help them create the event of their dreams. My close attention to detail and knack for creative thinking, is guaranteed to reduce your stress and make the planning process tons of fun.

Sustainable Events

Graylie Events takes extra care to incorporate sustainable event planning practices in all aspects of the wedding or event. Event planning practices that:

  • Reduce waste generation

  • Responsibly use the earth's natural resources

  • Promote ethical environmental best practices

  • Uphold corporate social responsibility

Creating lasting memories while being kind to our planet is what we do!

When planning your wedding or event, here are some quick tips on how you can make your event more sustainable.

  • Only include items that you absolutely love and must have. Extra items will cost more and they nearly always generate waste.

  • Rent when you can and from vendors local to the area you are hosting your event. When you rent, you spend less time driving around or having items shipped to you (think carbon emissions) and you end up throwing fewer things in the trash after the event. You are also supporting a local business and trust me when I say, small business owners really appreciate it!

  • Consider alternatives that are more environmentally friendly. Think recyclable and compostable! And minimize plastic use as much as possible. I know we like to think plastic is recyclable, but most of it isn't actually recycled and if it is, it can only be recycled 1-2 times.
